Digital photo corruption

I recenly purchaced a Kodak Z612 digital.

My photos are coming out corrupted. When i initally take a photo I can see horizontal lines on the lcd screen. When I review the photos on the camera, the images look clear. But when I upload them on to my computer the horizontal lines show up.

Is it something worng with the camera? Or something that I'm doing wrong?

Something wrong with the internals of your camera. If the horizontal lines show up on two independent devices - the LCD screen and your computer - then the problem is with the image as recorded and that's done by the camera.
