Digital noob needs help with PSE2

Do any of you know of a good book to help me learn PSE? I have had it on my computer for a while but I don't know how to use it. I need something that will explain the procedures on a very basic level. I wouldn't mind a class either.

My kids think I have one big round eye and a light on my head!

No insult intended, but "Digital photography for dummies" will teach the basics of photo editing. I have that book around here somewhere. I also use pse2. It"s old and not supported anymore, but it does a fine job.
For your info if you open the program and click help you should find a tutorial tab. that should get you started.

Scott Kelby has a book series, and I'd start with "Adobe Photoshop Elements 2 for Digital Photographers". Since PSE is now up to 5 I think, you might find a copy on ebay, half.com, Amazon, etc. This is kind of a "recipe book" so if you want to know how to do something in particular you'll have step-by-step instructions. There's a whole chapter on sharpening - at least in the one for the version of PS I've got.

Thanks guys. The "Dummies" books are helpful. I have used them for other things. No insult taken, I appreciate the help.

Today I decided to jump in with both feet and purchased CS3. After I get over the sticker shock and the learning curve I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
