    Digital Camera Problems...
Hi, Im new here and I need some help with my camera. I got a Digitrex DSC-3000 camera, that my friend gave me. I know its not a great camera but hey, beggars cant be choosers. Ive taken a few pictures on it, and now want to load them onto my computer but cant!

Ive used one of my friends cameras which is a Sony Cybershot, and as soon as he plugged it in, a little screen popped up on the computer and said what what would like to do with these pictures, and his camera screen said USB mode, like its supposed to. But on this camera, when I plug it in, the screen on it just goes black and nothing on my computer screen pops up saying what do I want to do with these pictures. Can anyone offer me some help on how to load these pictures on to my computer? Thanks in Advance!

It sounds like you need some software for the camera. Does the camera use a memory card? If so, the easiest thing to do is buy a card reader and use that instead of plugging the camera in to the computer. In fact, I'd recommend a card reader no matter what camera you have. They're way better and easier than trying to plug the camera in and using the camera manufacturer's software.

If you're on a PC, you should be able to click Start > My Computer and see a drive called something like "USB Mass Storage Device (E: )" or "Removeable Disc (E: )". The letter may be different if you have anything else connected to the computer. Click on that device and save your images from there.

    Hi

You can purchase a card reader online from B&H Photovideo, JR for about $29.

    Hope this is of help.
