    dcs-420
I bought a dcs-420 and decided it was time for digital. The camera is in great shape, bought a 512 pcmcia card charged the batteries and shot some junk just to get accustomed to the feel of the camera. Decided to change lenses and now the camera will not turn on. The lcd shows a charged battery and a the pcmci card. It also shows an error code of an a or "a "backwards "6" with an 88 following the a/6 . I have had a N-90 Nikon from the time they were
introduced to the market. This problem is confusing. I don't have the software that came with the DCS-420 . Could this be the problem . I am lost with the camera never had a problem with my "old fashioned 4 x 5 "
    Thanks, Paul Robertson

I'm not sure, and not sure the software would help here either. The manual might; if it's an error code it might tell you what it stands for. Try calling Kodak or look online to see if they have manuals on their website.
