Date/Time Stamp
Does anyone know if it is possible (i'm sure it is b/c you all seem to be photo editing geniuses) to remove a date/time stamp on a photograph? I hae a few lovely pictures but had the stinking date/time stamp on....

Re: Date/Time Stamp
Look in the menu of your camera and you should be able to turn it off.

Re: Date/Time Stamp
Thanks Jimmy I got that one a few years ago =) I should have been a bot more specific and said after the photo had already been taken is there a way to edit the date/time stamp out of the photograph

Re: Date/Time Stamp
I'm not as sharp as many others on this site, but I'd think you may be able to clone out the date.
If you'll send me one I'll give it a try and see if it is satisfactory.
Happy New Year!

Re: Date/Time Stamp
The visible date stamps, have to be edited out. In the camera menu you should be able to disable that function, film or digital. In the digital world the visible date stamp is not needed due to the file format has that information in the image file (most RAW formats and JPG).

Re: Date/Time Stamp
Google for a free EXIF reader/writer. There may be a toggle in the EXIF to include the date.
Is it there no matter what software you view it with?

Re: Date/Time Stamp
AFgalcas might mean a real photograph, OldClicker
You'd have to scan the negative, or print, and then clone it out.

Re: Date/Time Stamp
Cloning is one possible, the other would be to crop the image slightly as most of those stamps on film are in a corner or along an edge.
If that kills too much of the image, consider stamping over it not only with cloning, but put your watermark/copyright in the same space.
Good luck and let us know if you need help!

Re: Date/Time Stamp
It can be cloned out, which takes a lot of time and attention to detail. I tried Photo Stamp Remover about a year ago (free trial), it seems to work. Like cloning, do a small area at a time. Check it out here http://www.softorbits.com/. I see there is an update since I tried it.
Good Luck,
Phil

Re: Date/Time Stamp
With photoshop, all things are possible! The important thing is to take your time and try and avoid easy coverups with a simple clone. Use the clone tool definitely, but make sure you don't over rely on any one area, or it will look like you did.
