    Cropping Help

I've been trying to figure out a nice way to crop this image. The upper right has a bunch of vertical elements that should be removed or reduced. Would it be better to crop them out or Photoshop them out of the shot? This one has me stumped.

    Thanks for your help.

Well, the bg in your shot is way out of focus. I see nothing in it that is a distraction from the subjects. I doubt viewers would notice anything either...

Sometimes I think we overthink these things, but if it really bothers you, I would shop it out by making it white, then put a thin black border around the shot to tie everything together...

I feel no crop is called for.

    Re: Cropping Help

You might feel like you need to crop because of the cut head of the girl on the left v/s the space on the right!

But I agree... for this particular shot you don't need a crop! And the BG is not a distraction at all!

It's a nice shot (of course one could say that more space around them would have been better... but that's shooting children... speed is most important)

Keep it as is! personally I like it!

    Re: Cropping Help

I agree that no crop is really necessary. When I first looked at the image, my eyes went right to the children. I did not find the background distracting at all. FWIW, my 0.02.
