    Qd?

I've noticed that some body only cameras that say "QD" cost maybe $20 more. What does this mean? Date function?

"Quartz Date" Places a timestamp directly on the front of a picture. Most people hate this!

Assume you're talking about Nikon - then yes, it is a date stamp that it exposes on the film. I've had Nikon SLR's with multi-function backs, and one of those functions is the date stamp. That always made me nervous, that I would use a feature on the back and somehow turn on the date stamp. Only reason you might want it is if you're an insurance adjuster or police photographer! Even then, you can set the date and time however you want so what good is it?...
