Can't find Nikon image recovery software
I recently lost a card-full of shots from a wedding. My problem is that I lost the Nikon recovery software that came with my D100. I've tried shareware programs and have seen the thumbnails of my shots, but none of them include image saving in the shareware versions. Does anyone have any ideas or links to programs that can recover my files without purchase?

    Thanks in advance,

Was it part of Nikon Capture software? I think you only get a 30-day trial version with the camera and you have to buy the full version - something like $169 I believe. Check the "sticky" post about lost digital images for other ideas.

Hi! You have to use software that will see NEF. This Nikon nef picture recovery or something similar. I altered an image in NX and saved to card and lost the whole thing or so I thought this brought it back. Removing the card before the camera is finished does the same (Crashes the card) or so I have heard.

ive had a hard time finding any programs that offer free saving of the images. When I looked, all that I found were programs that seem to be similar to what you found - they will give you the preview but not allow you to save.

When i bought my Sandisk Extreme III, they threw in the recoverypro application. I've never had to use it, but it might be something to check out... you could get a free card out of the deal as well, if you're buying it for the application.
