Canon EF 300mm f2.8 Instruction Manual?
I just purchased a used Canon (non IS) 300mm f2.8 lens. Does anyone know where I could buy an instruction/owners manual for it? A copied version would be fine.

    Thanks in advance,

Hm i am assuming that you know how to change lenses. so basically the af/mf switch changes between manual and autofocus, and the distance switch stops the camera autofocusing on close subjects which can be handy when speed is an issue. other than that there is not much to know, no doubt someone will send u an instruction book, but you can also try getting the pdf from canon's website

I do know how to change a lens, switch from auto to manual focus mode, and use the different focus distance settings. What I wanted was a written explanation of the pre-focus selection that is featured on this lens. I did figure out the functionality of this feature upon initial experimentation on my 1V. While previously not having a lens with this feature, I did NOT want to risk doing something that may damage a VERY expensive (for me anyways) piece of equipment. I guess I'm one of the unusual types that actually reads directions/owners manuals first.
