Canon D60 & EOS Speedlite 540ez should it work? help plz
    I have a Canon D60 & EOS Speedlite 540ez. I haven't used them together before as i generally shoot in a studio.
however today i tried to use them outdoors, and although the flash and camera were communicating such that the correct zoom that the lens was set at was being shown on the back of the flash i could not get it to fire. I tried all modes, no luck and so failed miserably to get a sharp shot, as i was shooting under a canopy of trees at max 1/45 sc. i hadn't taken a tripod as was expecting the flash to enable me to do hand held. fortunately i was photographing my daughter. but i am doing a friends wedding shortly so need to get this sorted
    please help
should they even work together and if so what should i set them to. i used the flash sucessfully with an E5 and just for the record today it had fresh batteries and it would fire if i pressed the pilot button

The EX series is compatible. All of this is listed in the manual by the way. If you don't have one, click here.
