Canon CMOS x-ray sensitivity

Hello all.
Thank you for the advice on my post below. Actually I decided to purchase a cheaper body (EOS 20d) and get some new lenses. My vivitar 19-53 has been replaced by a 17-40L. So if anybody wants an inexpensive 19-53 let me know. It's in great shape, but I couldn't resist the allure of the red ring :) And a Sigma 10-20 will fill my wide needs with the 20d.

Anyway, my original question. Having come from film, I am used to hand checking my rolls at the airport to avoid xray exposure. Is the CMOS chip in my camera at all sensitive to the xray range of the EM spectrum. I shouldn't think so, since they list sensitivities in terms of sRGB or Adobe color spaces, but if anyone could shed some light (pun intended) on this for me I would appreciate it.

Nope, no problem with X-rays and Canon CMOS chips. Just don't get yourself full of static electricity and touch the IR Filter above the CMOS sensor or you may fry it....CMOS technology is highly sensitive to static electricity. As long as it's sealed up it will be just fine though. In electronics school we held a CMOS chip and walked across the floor and you could hear the chip pop :D
