    Camera choice

I dont want to go the SLR route despite the advantages.Too many lenses etc.
Which should be the better camera - The Fuji S 100 fs, or the Sony R1 ?
Which produces the best images / the best colour ?

My advice and that of others is to go to the store and try both. You will not be able to tell any difference between them but for the skin tones. Get your own memory cards to test both cameras, in good light take the same photos of a model on each camera, then in not so good light take another photo of your model with flash.

Then go home and see which camera you like. (inspect the images full screen on your monitor) You should adjust the monitor settings using a color wheel before hand.

Check out the Canon G series and compare with your other choices. It is supposed to be a consumer camera but even professionals use it!
