Big Job - Backdrop Ideas

What would you suggest for backdrops for a big family portrait event? I prefer black, but that may be a bit to artistic for a Easter Sunday at a church. Is there a standard color? Thanks for all the help!

Nah - not Black, I don't think. Dark and subdued, befitting the formal occasion, yes - but Black is definitely overdoing it.
