    Beginner Camera Suggestion
Hi, I need a digital camera that would suit a beginner. I'm about to go on an alaskan cruise and need to get one really quick. I'm very open to all suggestions, as long as it is under $150. Thanks.

ooo alaskan cruise, i loved my cruise to alaska, i took plenty of pics.. when you go up by the glaciers, take the helicopter ride onto one, its so cool... going up above the glaciers really gives you an idea of how large they are. and tell us how warm it was when you get back, lol.. i went there, it was 90 something on the glacier.. lol

ok, about the topic, I'd spend a bit more because vacations are very memorable, and places like alaska, you get some fantastic shots there..

The Canon Powershot A410 is a fantastic little ( very compact) point and shoot for under 140.00 I bought one a few months ago for my daughter after having read all the rave reviews on Amazon.com. After seeeing the pics it takes on auto mode i was quite impressed. Even the indoor flash shots are quite impressive and do not have thast blown out flash look. Quite an impressive, extremely easy to use out of the box, great on batteries, and great image quality little camera.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...Fencoding=UTF8

Thanks! I'll definitely look into both cameras, if I can stretch the budget a little I will really be looking into the A520. I had my eye on it before, and that A410 looks like a nice little camera too.
