    Question Battery Door Removal

Hello...I have a Nikon D60 Camera and I am wanting to add a extra battery pack to the bottom. It looks like the original battery door will need to be removed to allow the installation. Could someone please shed some light on the removal of the door? Thanks very much in advance!

    Re: Battery Door Removal

I have a D200 which may be different so I highly recommend you check the manual before trying this.

With the D200, open the battery door about halfway (45 degrees if zero is closed and 90 is open) and then pull the door *out* away from the hinge. It'll pop right off. And yes, at least on the D200 you do need to remove it to use the battery pack.

    Re: Battery Door Removal

When I bought my battery pack for my 5D, there were instructions that came with it (the battery pack) that showed me how to remove the battery door. Maybe Nikon is the same. I would check with the camera store when you buy the pack and they should be able to tell you (assuming you will buy it in a store). HTH.

    Cheers,
