Will this lens cover fit?

I lost the bottom cover to my Tamron 17-55 lens. This lens goes with my Canon Digital Rebel Xsi.

Is this the right replacement? I can't find anything else that looks right, it seems they are a one size fits all per camera manufacturer

It will go on your lens, it's for all Tamron lenses.

Any rear cap that is the same as your lens mount will work. - Terry

It will but I wouldn't. I would buy the Canon version instead. Not because it is marked Canon, but because I generally keep the bottom lens cap and the body cap screwed together.

I found for some strange reason the Tamron lens cap from my 17-50 would not stay attached to my camera body caps nor would it fit the bottom of my Canon glass. When I am changing glass I like to be able to just take the body cap from the lens I am going to mount and put it on the lens I take off the body. Quick and easy. For some reason the Tamron just doesn't play with other glass.

If you have a Tamron lens then it's just fine. If it's for a different manufacture's lens for Canon the answer is no as the tolerances could cause the lens cap not to fit or to fall off. My Tamron cap doesn't fit the my default Nikon lens.
