Am I doing it wrong or is it broken?

Hi guys,
I bought a Sony DSC-M2 on eBay for quite a low price and, as a still picture taker, I am very happy with it. It isn't great but it perfactly matches my skill level. But this morning, I wanted to take a movie of me opening a folding Palm keyboard (Don't ask, lol) but I couldn't get the camera to take a movie clip. I have read the manual and also the Start-up Guide and there doesn't appear to be any info. It is almost as if the manuals are saying that this camera does not take movies. And yet there are not just one but TWO buttons to press to start recording a movie (but they don't, if you see what I mean)

Any ideas?

OK, thanks for all the replies.
It turns out that the Hybrid switch was set at the wrong end.
My camera now DOES do movies.
