AEB feature on a Canon 350D

What do you have yours set on? All 3 set to full - and full +
What is the ideal setting to have it on?
Should I just leave it in the middle?
I'm a visual learner so images would be great.

I'm curious about this setting as well, is it supposed to take more than one shot or does it just put the brackets in the RAW info? I cant seem to find the bracketed shots in camera, when I try to do this, I go full - and full +.

From what I understand, it takes 3 shots at 3 different exposures but where's the point?
And once it has taken these 3 shots does the camera make it go back to auto?

If you shoot in RAW there's little point.
In fact I think if you shoot in raw this setting may be ignored.

caveat: assuming the 350D works like my 20D

I just figured it out, you have to actually take 3 shots, but it brackets automatically, good for HDRs, except RAW works just as well, for HDR bracketing, if you want more dynamic range than what RAW offers, you have to manually bracket even greater extremes than +-2

I use this feature quite a bit in high contrast situations, even tho I'm already shooting in raw. I usually set it at 1 stop intervals. I have found that it's faster to bracket your shots in manual mode by simply adjusting the shutter speed instead of going into the menu to set the AEB. On my 300D, the camera will stay in AEB mode, until I turn the camera off, or go back into the menu and reset the AEB mode back to normal.

Just out of interest, how do you set it back to normal?
I know you said turn the camera off to go back to normal but I do like to know these things.

To set it back to normal mode by using the menu, you go to the AEB setting, and adjust the "markers" until they are all lined up on 0. You will only see 1 marker, instead of 3.
