Here's one for ya...

A beach panorama... Kodak 400UC with a twist and only a curves adjust to fix the crappy scanner I am forced to use. Maybe you can figure out the rest...

Really a study of color, yellow to red. I think that you should make one horizon through the frame. Put the sand in the middle and copy and flip it to make it fit against the side photo.

Great colors. I really need to try out UC sometime. I wish the middle frame was a tad clearer but, this is a cool shot. I'm curious, and please don't take this the wrong way but, was this intentional or one of those happy accidents? If it was intentional, what camera were you shooting with that allowed for the overlap? I accidentally did this with my Holga once and have thought about other subjects to try it with but, would like to try it with a "real" camera.

This was a happy accident, but not the color. I was experimenting with something I saw on flicker. I shot through the film backwards to give it the super saturated red-yellow color. The camera is an antique (almost) Pentax MX with a 28 f/2.8 lens and towards the end of 36 shot rolls it doesn't seem to have enough ooomph to wind an entire frame, thus the overlapping frames. The other happy thing is they didn't get chopped during development...

Shooting through the film backwards? I'm curious, care to elaborate? Is this something you "bulkloaded" yourself backwards? Inquiring minds want to know...LOL

Would some coloured lenses work here? Say I double exposed a roll of film with some coloured lenses, do you think it would work?

I doubt you can get the same effect with a filter, it's just not the same deal, and the whole idea is to eliminate all of the trikery BS anyways(like photoshop)... just press the shutter, be it IR or cross process or redscale... I think filters are good for B&W imagery and softeners and also as an exposure adjustment (neutral density filters etc...) but anything more than that and they take on a bit too much importance I think... But my interpretation of photographic art is by no means the law, go crazy if you feel it's necessary...

Just out of curiosity, is this two frames, or two and a half? I am asking because I was thinking about how you would print it traditionally. I would suppose masking a larger carrier would be the best way.

Its three but they overlap so it'd have to be some custom setup. I can crop it to 10x30 pretty easily. I plan on getting a better scan of it and making some copies, but I'm having them printed not doing them myself sorry, I have to draw the line somewhere :)
