It came with the 80 F2.8 he offered a 35, and also a 55-110 but I didn't have enough money! A Phase One +P 30 would be nice but $20K is a heck of a lot!!! Am looking at a NIKON 9000 scanner used of course.

Panned a car today at about 40MPH with continous focus! Not sure how it will come out? Then going from bright outside to darker inside it locked in about 1 second so it is a little slower than my 20D I would venture.......

    That would be cool.

Am looking at a NIKON Coolsacn 9000. They are $2K so I would have to sell, a Canon lens, or a bike maybe........
Not sure. Maybe just work about 50-60 hours of OT. The boss shouldn't mind :D

Quick Opinion on Mamiya 645 sought
First Congratulations on your new camera :)

I do not mean to hijack your thread but I needed a quick verdict on a cam I may buy tomorrow.
Assuming you shopped around a bit before buying so I wonder what is your opinion on this Mamiya 645 Pro plus 2 lenses offered @ $500 for entire kit, local pick up? Offer as below:

"Mint condition Mamiya 645 Pro medium format body with prism/meter viewfinder, Mamiya 80mm and 55mm 2.8 Lenses, polaroid back, 120 film back, hardshell case, and manual. This camera was used approx 10 times and there is not a scratch or scuff anywhere. Everything works perfect. Looks like brand new out of the box. Originally paid nearly $4,000 for the package. "

I was not planning to go MF this soon, but if the offer is good I could try and get my $ back if I find something better later.
    Would you buy this??
Hoping to get a couple of replies to my question.

Sean I would see what the lenses are worth and that will help you decide. Price the body as well, there should be completed sales on ebay. You will have a blast shooting Med format.

Turns out I didn't research the camera properly. It doesn't have AF, I definitely would need it I think. Ah well no hurry.. Med Format can wait. Meanwhile my long awaited EOS 3 finally arrived from Adorama.. YAY!

Re: Got a MAMIYA 645 AF Today!!!
I got mine 4 days ago and I love it. The images are tack sharp. I got it used but it's in new condition. It even came with the original manual and box. The set came with a 80mm lens F2.8. The only complaint I have on mine is dirt. The first roll of 120 slides I got back it showed a decent amount of dirt. Little black spots on the slides. Since I am brand new to this format I'm not quiet sure what to do. I live in a small town and I think I am the only one shooting MF here. When I took the camera in to our local camera shop to drop the first roll off everyone was huddled around me looking at the camera like it was made of pure gold....lol. So any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to email me directly about it too charles@crawfordimaging.com

    Thanks guys

Re: Got a MAMIYA 645 AF Today!!!
Congrats on the MF. I have a Mamiya 645e, no AF, but it does most of what I want. Multiple exposures, DOF preview, etc. The Mamiya lenses are top notch :) Only issue wtih my 645e is no self timer and, more importantly, no matrix metering (all center weighted). Not having matrix metering really makes you think before shooting.

If you were a little closer to San Diego I'd let you borrow my 9000 for a few days and scan them. It's an incredible work of engineering, the only bit of an issue being the firewire connector instead of USB (I don't know if the new versions have USB).

Don't know how I got Pentax from Mamiya - too many late nights.

How's the camera working? I have a chance to pick up the same model for a good price.

    Are you happy with it?
