The Black Dot
The original red dot got to looking rough. Chipped paint so at first I blacked out the dot myself. Although it looked ok I decided my old M6 probably deserved a new dot. I doubt I will ever get rid of this camera.
So I ordered one from DAG. A Leica tech.
Such a little thing makes a big difference.

Re: The Black Dot
Nice looking camera! I was just going through some old "film" photos yesterday. I had almost forgotten how much I love film! After viewing many images I've taken - some with just a p&s, I came to the conclusion (again) that (IMO), there is just something about images shot with film that digital can't get to - yet!

Re: The Black Dot
Thanks Liz I agree. I think I am going to blackout the letters next.

Long Live Film! Long Live Leica!
My Leica pre-dates the red dot, a pain in the butt to use, but produces wonderful shots all the same.

Re: The Black Dot
That is nice looking Axle. When I had one I use to shoot the Voigtlander 15mm with it. No real need to focus and I used the hotshoe finder. Worked great.

Re: The Black Dot
I must say, Leica - Great device. I used this one couple years, without problems.
