Vista - Movie Maker - Doesn't recognise DV camera
    Hi,

Only a newbie to this forum, and DV editing.

I have just upgraded my PC to Vista, and have a Panasonic VDR D-250 camera. When I connect this to my computer using the supplied USB cable, the computer recognises the hardware, but when I try to use Movie Maker to edit some of my movies, it states it can't find a compatible Video Device. Could it be the USB cable? Do I need to connect to my Video card (if so, what sort of cable do I need - do I simply buy an S-Video - DV cable)?

Any help or tips appreciated - greatly !!!

    Thanks,

you need to use firewire not usb as you can't transfer video from usb.
