    Ultra-mini Wide Angle Camera
Hi, first post for me here.
I need to get a really small camera, 10x10x4.5mm that can view something approx 3 or 2.25 cm away from it, with the object being 3 cm wide. Is that possible? Sorry if I am really confusing. Tell me if I am, and I'll make a diagram.

I am sure there are devices that can do this, but not in any consumer camera or even a self contained camera. My guess is that you would either need some sort of optic fibre like the kind plumbers use or perhaps a small remote camera like those that are used to record special locations in sporting events. (underneath racecars and in cricket stumps are two locations that spring to mind. Either way I doubt it would come cheap.

There are industrial vision cameras that can do this, or the kind of micro camera in "spy" shops or websites.

The nearest I can find quickly with google (http://www.pimall.com/nais/pencilerasercam.html) is 8mmx8mm pinhole video camera, and I think the depth is about 15mm - that'll cost about $300.
