Hoping to get some input from other HDV-FX7 users here.
I just got a new HDV-FX7 and I absolutely love it; however, if lighting isn't just absolutely perfect, the autofocus is worthless, and I find it almost impossible to focus manually, even with the expanded focus feature; but my HDR-SR12 is crystal clear under the exact same conditions. And if its a little dark, forget about it, I don't even bother trying to shoot with the FX7, the SR12 beats it every time.
Anyone have any insight into why a $800 camera out performs the $2000 one in the autofocus department?
I know the prosumer cameras aren't always easy to use, but something just doesn't seem right about this...
Thanks
