Question Frame Rates - which one??

    Hello:

I am using a Canon Vixia HF S10 - and have been thoroughly enjoying my move to video from still photography.

Frames Rates - my video cam settings offers PF 24, PF 30 and 60i (standard).

I understand the 24 and 30 settings, however, do not understand the 60i (standard) setting.

Can someone explain what the 60 i setting is?

Is it better to use 60I instead of 24 frames?

    THANK YOU. My best, Willow

The 60 frames-per-second setting is for slow motion video. You shoot at 60 and then play at 30 or 24, slowing down the action. My Canon EOS 7D can to 60 FPS, although I haven't managed to use it correctly. I think 60 FPS clips need to be handled differently while editing or something.

Thanks John. I'll stick with 24 frames for "normal" video work then, Willow
