Re: Sony Handycam adding music to dvd

you need to do it in an editing application, something like windows movie maker or imovie will be enough. what process are you using to create your dvd? some dvd authoring programs will also allow you to add music. if you are creating dvd's direct form the camera then you will need to download the video to your computer first and edit it.

let me know exactly what you are already doing and i may be able to help you better.

    ps welcome to the forums!

Re: Sony Handycam adding music to dvd

Thank you! I was trying to do it thru the program from Sony. I am using Windows Movie Maker and I think I have figured out most of it. The problem I'm having now is when I play back what I've pieced together, it is freezing in between frames. Is there a way to make it a smooth transition?

    Thanks, Brenda

Alas there is no simple solution to this as there are several possible causes. the most obvious suspect would be that your computer is to slow to render it smoothly, what are your computer settings? cpu type and speed, amount of ram, size of hard drive (video card if you have one?) another reason could be that the codec you are using is corrupted video codec. try using a disolve or fade and check that your timeline doesn't have any gaps in it (zoom in on the space between two adjacent clips to determine this)
