    Thanks for the heads up and caution. I am in the process of purchasing a video camera, and Since reading this, I believe I will be a bit more slow to move forward with this.
    Do you know where I can get some information on what type of video camera to purchase?
    thanks. I am not an experienced video photographer.

    Why don't you tell us a little bit about your budget and what you plan to use the camera for. That will help us make better recommendations for you. Budget is usually the biggest concern.

    Hi, Im looking in the $2,300.00 -2,500.00 range for camera, and perhaps another 500.00 for accessories, tripod, carrying case, etc..
    I have the computer system in place finally with plenty of memory and speed. Also I purchased Pinacle Studio Ultimate. I have fire wire port on my PC as well.

    Now I am in the positon to make my next step. thanks for you help John
