Question about metadat in digital video files
New to both the forum and to digital video and I was wondering, out of privacy concerns, exactly what metadata, if any, is embedded in digital video files and if it is editable by the user. Thanks for your time.

What the hell? Did posts accidentally end up in this thread or are you poking fun at Chunck's post, Paul?

Re: Question about metadat in digital video files
The meta data depends on how your camera is set up, but usually it is simply the camera make and model, the camera settings (auto exposure, white balance etc) the duration of the clip and the start and end times of the clip. If you use a program like adobe onlocation you can append a lot of information to your meta data that can really save you a lot of time when you come the edit, and premier pro cs4 has a feature where it uses voice recognition to create a text file of a clip and append this with timecode to the metadata (so you have a transcription of a speech for exapmple embeded in the metadata. This can be very handy as you can use it to make keyword searchable videos which is great for the web etc.
