Putting video clips on the web

I'm used to saving my video clips and putting them onto DVDs (Mostly mountain bike footage) but I've got a 8 1/2 minute long clip that I'd like to post on the net. What compression/format should I save it in? I have Ulead Mediastudio Pro 6 as well as the Ulead DVD movie factory, which gives me options for mpeg 1, 2, streaming video and other types. Thanks!

Save it to whatever looks best for the best file size, practice a bit and render it a few times, if you have extra time. Finding out what works for you can help a good bit.

I use MPEG2 whenever I render from premiere, but a 20 minute video is about 1.2gb with that.. :-P

when you are rendering to a file most editing applications will let you know the approximate file size you will get at different resolutions and frame rates with several compression codecs but as ss said render it a couple of times and see what works for you. and bear in mind the sort of connections people will be downloading it with and what file sizes they would deem to large.
