    problems downloading vids

    hiya my name is linda and new to this forum
    and hopless with cameras too

    i have a samsung s1050 digital camera ; when i try and upload videos onto my pc ; the videos come up looking like a film roll ; and i cant view them on my windows media

    and i cant seem to save them anywhere else like my documents

    i dont have any problem with the pics

    just wondered if i am takeing them properly on my camera or if it is the editing programme

    It sounds like you have a movie format that your WMP does not recognize. Can you tell us what the file extension is?

    thankyou for getting back ; they seem to be in wma format sorry

    but i have re downloaded digimax master which i got on a disk with my camera

    i can now get the videos to work with this ; if i save them in my documents ; they seem to save in a group of several vids and not as individual which is what i want to do

    You are limited to a certain file size and quality when you use a digital still camera to shoot video. If the videos are important to you, family events, etc. I'd strongly suggest getting a camera dedicated to recording video. There won't be as big a compromise in file size, quality and ease of editing.
