    Mini DV vs HDD

    Hi,

I am still looking at entry camera for doing some fun projects. I mentioned in the earlier post I was semi-pro 10+ plus years ago. I now thinking I am willing to pay a little more for my entry camera since low end I would probably be frustrated with in a day or two.

I have ruled out DVD format from the DVD MiniDv threat but now I am confused with MiniDV or HDD what would best option to start with simple shooting tranfer to pc for consumer grade editing then upload to web or convert format. I looking to get my feet wet again so I consider my self a beginer with semi pro ambitions.

most hdd cameras use similar mpeg compression to dvd cameras. there are exceptions but they are expensive and mostly broadcast cameras.
