Looking for suggestions on buying a new camera.
What I'm really looking for is a still camera that takes decent standard 720x486 video at 30fps. If no such thing exists, then does anyone have any other suggestions for me? I'm willing to buy a camera and a camcorder seperately, but I guess I'm cheap. I've done some research and I'm looking at purchasing the Konica Minolta Dimage Z1 mostly because it's inexpensive and I don't have a huge budget to spend on a camera, but it only comes with 16mb of SD memory. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I would seriously suggest a separate video camera. You will not be happy with the playback quality of the SD recorded video image. It is almost always MPEG or some other lossy compression scheme with less than 30 frames of video. There is no color depth, it is jittery and has really bad resolution.

You can find decent low end MiniDV camcorders for under $400.
