    Jvc Gz-hd7u Problems

I have this jvc hd camera and works great and all but when i hang it out of the window of a truck it stops filming and says something about broken file on hd. However when i am filming in sd from a card it doesn't stop. Is there something I am doing wrong to make it do this? It has the everio software on it. help!!!

Sounds normal to me, how are you hanging it out of the window?

I had similar problems years ago with microdrive vs normal CF cards.
Because it's a disk, and it's spinning it is very sensitive to movement and will fail if bumped.

CF or SD cards don't have moving parts, and so if you mount the camera on the outside of the car, maybe on a sucker mount to the window, it will carry on working even on rough roads.

Stick to using memory cards and not hard disk if you're treating it roughly.

Sounds like that could be it, I hang out as far as i can get. Filming trucks draggin and stuff. Thought it might be the light going everywhere. So using sd or a outside cam mount is really the only option?

if the camera has an external av input then keeping the camera in the vehicle and attaching a pencil cam would also work
