    Importing Video

To start off, I'm not sure if this is in the right spot, if it's not can someone please point to another part of this website or another website that might be able to help.

The problem is, I borrowed a friend's video camera to film for baseball, but he only had the cord to capture it or import back onto his mac. He put the video on a disc but its a quicktime file that will only play in quicktime. I can play the video on my computer which is a pc, but I need a file type that I can bring into windows movie maker or any editing program. Right now, it doesn't let me move the file or edit it at all. What do I have to do to make the file editable? And how do I do this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

either take it back to the mac and get them to convert it to an avi file, or buy quicktime pro
