I read somewhere that a NLE shoud have a noninterlace and interlace viewing option for video projects.

I am considering getting the Sony Trinitron Wega 24 in. CRT Color TV, FD TrinitronŽ WEGAŽ TV for $250. Although it is a 4:3 TV, it has a 16:9 settings with Component Video Input (Y/Pb/Pr). I would use the TV to preview SD projects and just use the computer monitor for HD projects.

Is it a waste of money?

I'll only have one 19" LCD for the workstation. Is it best to have a dual monitor setup instead getting the TV for previewing?
