Canon HF S line

I was wondering if there are significant differences in quality when comparing the S200 to the S21.

I see they both shoot 24p, etc. The specifications seem to be the same. Does this translate to equal quality of image.

VIXIA HF S21 vs. VIXIA HF S200.

Would a 50d be better or worse? (excluding depth of field issues)
