Help needed outputting video from Studio 8 to Sony DV Cam

I need help !

I have a Sony DCR PC9E Handycam. I use Pinnacle Studio 8 (version 8.12.7.0) to edit my video.

In the past I have successfully uploaded the video using my Firewire cable into Studio, edited it then outputted it back onto DV tape or thru my camera onto VHS video tape.

Now when I try to output it, the camera starts recording, I get a quick flash of the opening frame and then the blue screen. Nothing gets recorded.

I've tried numerous attempts with different bits of video, changed the DV in/out settings on the camera etc

Anyone any suggestions?

and.....

To exclude a couple of possibilties:

I can still record "live" video using the camera so I guess it's not a recording head problem

I have just tried using Windows Movie Maker (for the 1st time!) and I get the same problem, so I guess it isn't Studio at fault.

Any ideas?

Check the following link about possible problems. I would suggest checking your card in the computer, it almost sonds like some kind of short.
