DVD compatibility

I am burning an edited video (Mac G4) and wish to send it to a viewer in the U.K. Since the video was shot in NTSC format will the DVD play in a U.K. DVD player?

You've got me on that one. I believe that you still have to convert the material to the proper format before you burn it. Does you UK connection have a multiformat DVD player?

I don't think they will have a multiformat player. I will play it safe and transfer to tape in PAL format. Thanks for your reply MJS.

90% of pal dvd players are multiformat, and so will play back ntsc dvd's.
sorry i had to get that out of my system.
