    3CCD 1080p camera
I'm fairly new to the HD market, though I understand all the terminology. I want a 3CCD 1080p (true 1080p, no HDV because that's 1440) that records at full 30p, not just 24p or 30i.

I have to stay under $1000 and would like to keep it to $750. I'm having a hard time finding a camera that even meets my requirements. Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Wow, at under $1000, i dont think you'll find it. Its been a day or two since I've looked at the market though - things change quick! ;)

Good luck with that. You'll probably be looking at around $10,000+ for the specs you want.

    I've found some 1080p 30p that are 1-chip
    I've found some 1080 60i that are 3-chip

But not both short of high end pro canon's

Is there something that makes it really hard to get 3ccd's to get true 1080 30p?

Also is there a significant quality loss when you have a single cmos? I'm going to do be doing nature shots so I want optimal quality without interlacing. I've been thinking about the HV30 (although it is HDV tape so it will be 1440x1080, I can live with the stretching if I have to). It is 30p but single chip.
