    looking good to me...unfortunately i have a year before i can get it...and i can use any of the lenses that fit from a Pentax K1000?

    Allegedly, it is a standard K-mount and can use pretty much any K lens with the usual caveats.

    What do you mean by, "the usual caveats"? Pentax is the only manufacturer that's stayed 100% backwards compatible. That's very, very nice for anyone who owns an old Pentax. It also means that you can tap into the wonderful used K-mount lens market. <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->

    Some of the old manual lenses, mostly the original K's, usually have limitations on the metering modes that can be used with them. In addition, lenses without the "A" setting on the ring have to be used in manual mode only.
