Tamron AF18-200MM F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II
    Hi there,

I decided to buy the Nikon D70s. Checking out the User Manual I found out that it is recommended to use type "G" or "D" CPU lenses.
I was thinking on buying the Tamron AF18-200MM F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II. I assume this is a type "D" lense. My question is: is it a CPU lense??? Would it work perfectly with the Nikon D70s (meaning would it let me use or the camera features) ?

    Thanks,

:) I use a Nikon D100 with this lens and it works fine. I love the lens, especialy for travel when I usually take just one lens. This covers a good range. I also have the Tamron 28-300 which is not a digital lens, but can be used on the D100. I found it was not wide enough for many situations so I bought the 18-200 which covers the same range on a digital SLR. It is compact and works smoothly. I just ordered the Tamron 11-18 to go with it.

ybechar asks some good questions. I am planning to purchase a d50 and also looking at just buying a body and a single lens (this one). How about it all?
