    Yeah, I would wait. The A100 is over a year old and about due for a replacement. The A100 does have high noise at 800 ISO and above (not a given for many other cameras) and noise reduction that can't be shut off. Hopefully, these and other problems will be fixed in the new models.

    I would suggest that, unless you have lots of expensive Minolta modern glass, to give some other companies a look as well. Pentax, Canon, and Nikon all have great models to choose from.

    Wrong about NR. The A100 has NR only for SP longer than 1 sec, and yes, you can turn it of.
