Shutter life on the digital rebel?
Does anyone know the expected shutter life on the digital rebel, as in how many thousand shots?

I don't have any source on this but I've seen 50k where as their other models are around 200k.

Hard to say, even if they publish an estimate there will always be some higher or lower than that. 10,000 shots a year is a lot - probably something a full time pro could top, that's almost a roll a day, every day (30 shots). In any case if you did 10k a year, you'd probably be OK for over five years. By then one of a few things will probably happen: Camera will be obselete and you'll buy another one (not that it will be any less capable than it is now, just newer ones will be better). Something else will break that will cost too much to fix. It'll get lost/stolen.

I guess bottom line, I wouldn't be too worried about wearing it out! ;)

As the man said, it will probably get stolen before you have to worry about it wearing out, just make sure you insurance is up to date.

    :D

    Cheers.
