    Question about studio flash
I'm new to digital cameras (have a point & shoot Coolpix) and am planning to get a D70. Used to be a professional so accustomed to manual focus-exposure.
I assume that D70 will accept my 20-year old Nikkor-AI lenses (using reduced image circle) but can anyone tell me if I can expect to be able to use my Balcar studio strobes?

I used to rely on Polaroids, but imagine I can nopw preview test shots and adjust aperture and just go. Am I right?

The histogram will replace your polaroids. The Balcars will be usable with one caveat, their trigger voltage if too high can damage the camera. I suggest a Wein SafeSync adapter, that way you can get sync cable connection and voltage regulation. Or get Pocket Wizards and get wireless and forget the voltage altogether.

thanks - I gave up on long synch cords long ago - will use a slave.
