What he said, Bryan's book is a good photo 101. Use your histogram to determine proper exposure. Understanding histograms. Expose (to the) right.

Yes, I have a WD passport I travel with, and a 500gig WD at home.

I'm thinking about getting a 1000GB HD, but it's about $340 bones. Yikes. My computer is running pretty slow, right now.

I have 3000GB, on 4 drives, RAID 5 redundant so I can only store 2000G of images.

Nice, so any suggestions or tips concerning the external hadr drive? Brands? what to stay away from? what to look at?
