    old and new
    heres the deal my mother wants to buy a new dslr how ever she was told by someone somewhere that her old camera lens's would work on some newer camera's.
    Her old camera is a minolta maxim 7000 are there any cameras that would be compatible withg the len's from this. She was told that some sony cameras would work

    The Minolta Maxxum lenses will all work on any Sony digital SLR body. So investing in a Sony DSLR is probably the best thing to do. The Sony digital SLRs also have built-in image stabilization, which means they will compensate for camera shake without having to buy special lenses. I reviewed the first Sony DSLR, the A100, and liked it quite a bit. I haven't had the opportunity to review one of the more recent bodies yet. But the reviews are generally very positive.
