Nikon D7000 - first true digital?
I have been reading some interesting stuff about the Nikon implementation of the sensor in the D7000. The contention is that using a low ISO (varies, 100 - 400) and increasing the exposure as necessary in post processing gives no more (maybe less) noise than using higher ISOs; a non-ISO system with the digital amplification as good as the 'analog' gain amplification. It will be very interesting to see if the D7000; which seems like a very good evolution of the traditional, film-like DSLR; is the one that takes us past the film paradigm into the truly digital. – Terry
