    I'm so excited!
The local camera shop informed me today, I get the 1st 10D they get in, the shipment is on the way! Just in time for my trip to GTNP and Jackson, WY. I sure hope they are telling the truth.

    Congratulations
That's great. I think you're going to be very happy. Did you have an EOS 3, before? I think the AF on the EOS 3 is a better, but the overall image quality of the 10D is way better than 35mm film. I love the quality of images that come out of my 10D. That CMOS sensor is really nice.

What lenses are you going to be using? Do you shoot wide? Do you have a wide lens to go with it?

I still own the EOS 3 and will probably keep it until I find it sitting in my bag never coming out. I currently have a 28-105, 80-200L and 300L, plan on sigma 12-24 in the summer some time. I have never shot wide, although I have wanted to experiment with it. I will keep the EOS 3 and experiment with the Sigma on it though.

    Sigma Should be Great
I love wide lenses. So moving to digital was tough for me. My first digital SLR was the EOS 1D and I immediately bought the Canon 15mm fisheye. I already had the Canon 20mm f/2.8 and I've found that it's a great "normal" lens for the 1D. But the 1.6x crop factor on the 10D is another story. For that I use the fisheye a lot. It distorts pretty seriously, but for most of what I do, that's not really a bad thing.

Anyway, I'm happy for you. I think you'll find your EOS 3 gathers a lot of dust. That was my last 35mm SLR. I kept it for a year, didn't use it once, and then sold it to my dad, who loves it. At least it stayed in the family.
