First Test Shots with the ProOptic 500 mm (f6.3) mirror lens

I had to figure out how to use my Nikon D40 manually and what to set my sghutter speed at. I also had to manually focus. However, the results are very encouraging. These pictures were taken hand held in the early evening with the sun low in the sky. Exposure was about 1/300 (the lens is f6.3--fixed).

These are not works of art but they give an idea of what the images look like.
