    D90 and D60
Are all the lenses for these two cameras interchangeable? Someone was telling me that the d60 doesn't have a built in AF motor where as the D90 does. My brother has a D90 and i am in the market for my first dSLR. I figured if i get the D60 i can eventually start sharing lenses if that is all possible with the AF feature

    TIA

The D60 does not have an autofocus motor and if you want autofocus to work you have to buy AF-S type lenses. However all the lenses that Nikon have introduced for the last 5+ years have been AF-S type. The kit lens that came with your brother's D90 will certainly work with the D60.

If your brother has bought any older non AF-S lenses then they will fit but you would have to focus manually. Most obvious example is the nifty fifty 50mm f1.8

Thanks for the info. Now are lenses that have built in motors compatible with the D90? Is there any problem having a built in motor in the camera body it self and lens?
